April 10th Articles from the Past. Some things new some old, some wooden, some gold. Handling and identifying articles from the past. 

Bob and Del Neill will be bringing one of their many collections of old everyday objects to see if we can guess what they are and what they were used for. We will do this in small groups, to share ideas. It's not always easy!! BUT it is good fun!! AND sometimes we could be right! (see below for flyer) 

May 8th - TRIP - Southwell Workhouse - £8.60 for non NT members, free for NT members DO NOT FORGET YOUR NATIONAL TRUST CARDS!

The trip, which will last about an hour), starts at 12 noon - the address of the Workhouse is Upton Road, Southwell NG25 0PT (though it is actually located on Workshouse Lane, off Upton Road. 

Ingrid suggests travelling down the A614 over Ollerton roundabout and turning left either at the next roundabout which takes you towards Newark or the following roundabout (White Post). There may be some roadworks which affect both routes, according to local members, so please allow extra time.

You may also wish to visit Southwell, the minster or have some lunch. Details below. Please ring Ingrid if you need any more information.
