A year's subscription covering all General Meetings is £15.00, £3.50 of which goes to the national body - the U3A Trust. Subscriptions also cover receipt of the national magazine Third Age Matters, 5 times a year (if you sign for it on the Membership Form). Membership is essential before Interest Groups can be attended, but there is no limit to the number of groups a member can join. Membership runs from April to March, and so new members joining from October onwards will only pay £10.00 for the remaining half year. Anyone joining in January, February or March will have their membership extended to cover the following year. Renewals for exisiting members remain at £15 for the whole year.
Data Protection. Members details are kept on a database by the Membership Secretary. All other general messages distributed by the Membership Secretary to members on the internet are sent BCC so that only their address appears on the email they receive. Interest Group Coordinators of course will have members details for those attending their individual group.

Newsletters are delivered this way to save printing costs, but hard copies are always brought to the general meetings for those who are not connected to the internet.
